CATHERINE SKINGLEY 1835 - 1891

Catherine Skingley born 1835, Sturmer. The Daughter of Henry Skingley and Catherine Woodward. Catherine married William Jeremiah Mayhew born 1832, William's Occ; Surveyor. The marraige took place in 1862 St Giles. They had one known child. William Jeremiah died in the 3rd qtr 1880 Halstead. Catherine remarried to Benjamin Oliver Johnson born 1837. The marraige took place in the 3rd qtr 1886, Paddington. Benjamin Oliver died two years later in the 3rd qtr 1888, Catherine was a again a widow. Catherine died in 1891 Pancras.

EMMA SKINGLEY 1840 - 1916

Emma Skingley born 1840, Sturmer. The Daughter of Henry Skingley and Catherine Woodward. Emma married Edward Jeremiah Mayhew born 1839, Edward Jeremiah's Occ; Farmer. The marraige took place in the 3rd qtr 1861. Edward and Emma became lodging house heepers in Brighton. Edward and Emma had four known children. Edward Jeremiah died in the 2nd qtr 1890, Lewisham. Emma died a 76 year old widow in 1916, Lewisham.

HENRY SKINGLEY 1843 - 1904

Henry Skingley born 1843, Sturmer. The son of Henry Skingley and Catherine Woodward. Henry married Annie Kathrine Purkis born 3rd qtr 1843 Sturmer. The daughter of Henry Purkis and Sophia Monkhouse. The marraige was in the abt July 1865. In 1871 Henry'S Occ; Landowner a Farm of 400 acres at Street Road, Wakes Hall, Sturmer. Henry was lodging at number 2, Salisbury Road. Colchester in 1891. Henry and Annie had five known children. Henry died in 190X. Annie Kathrine died in the 2nd qtr 1932.

ALFRED WOODWARD SKINGLEY 1845 - 1891

Alfred Woodward Skingley born 1845, Sturmer. The son of Henry Skingley and Catherine Woodward. Alfred in 1871 was living with his mother at Upland Hall, Stow Upland, The census shows his Occ; Farmer 365 Acres in size. Alfred married Alice Mary Purkis born 1850 the marraige took place in 1872. They had two known children. Alice Mary died in 1877 age 26 years cause unknown. Alfred Woodward met with an accident in Dec 1891, He was with his Brother-in- Law Charles B Purkis when Alfred was run over by a Steam Engine at the Railway crossing at Sturmer Station, his clothing was ripped to shreds and his body was left with horrific injuries to his arms and legs, he died at the scene of the incident on the 12th Dec 1891.

WALTER SKINGLEY 1847 - 1928

Walter Skingley born 1847, Sturmer. The son of Henry Skingley and Catherine Woodward. Walter's 1871 Occ; Law Student at Landowne, Bloomsbury. Walter in 1891 was living on own means,at 24,Victoria Square,St Georges Hanover, Westminster. In the 1911 census Walter was recorded as a Border in a guest house at 14, Cornfield Road Eastbourne. Walter never married he died in 1928 St Georges Hanover Sq Westminster.
