Res; at 1861, 16, Stibbington St, Somers Town, St Pancras.

JOHN THOMAS SKINGLE 1834 - 1907John Thomas Skingle born 1834. Paddington, London. Christened 4th Nov 1836. St Johns, Paddington.The Son of John Skingle (occ; Baker) and Hepzibah Ager. John Thomas went to live with his mothers brother, Johnathan Ager (Master Baker) and his wife Mary Ann Ager and widowed grand father Philip Ager (Retired Baker) res; 60, New Street, Braintree, from the age of 14yrs as both his Parents Hepzibah and John had died. John Thomas married Emma Ellen Strutt born 4th qtr 1837, Tendering, the Daughter of George Strutt (occ: Baker) and Elizabeth Herbert they had married in 1826, Elizabeth died in the 4th qtr 1849. George remarried in 4th qtr 1850 to Lucy Level born 1825, They had one child Ellen Strutt 3rd qtr 1852. The marraige of John Thomas Skingle and Emma Ellen Strutt took place on the 3rd Dec 1855, Sudbury, Suffolk. Residence: 1881 Braintree, Essex. occ; Tailor. Res; 1901 43, Manor Street, Braintree. They had Eleven Children Two sons Nine Daughters. John Thomas died 1st qtr 1907, Braintree. Emma Ellen died 1st qtr 1915, Braintree.

EMMA SARAH SKINGLE 1838 - 1919Emma Sarah Skingle born 1st qtr 1838 Fitzroy Square, St Pancras. The Daughter of John Skingle ( Occ; Baker) and Hepzibah Ager. Emma's parents died while she was a young girl her mother Hepzibah when Emma was only eight and only ten when her father John died, she was adopted by her Uncle and Aunt Thomas and Martha Skingle. Emma Sarah later married James Terry on the 25th Jan 1858 at St Pancras. James occ; House Painter and Marine store dealer in 1861 census.They had two known children. Res; 25, Tonbridge Street, St Pancras. James had died by the 1871 census, Emma now a widow was running the Marine Store by herself still living at 25, Tonbridge Street, St Pancras. In 1911 Emma Sarah has lodgings at 28, Cecil Road, Ilford. Emma's daughter Alice and her husband Frederic Grant born 1860 Spilsby, Lincoln. Occ; Railway Police Detective, they had married in 1895, are living in the rest of the house, they have no children. Emma Sarah died 81 years of age in the 2nd qtr 1919 Romford.
