WILLIAM SKINGLE 1766 - 1844

William Skingle. born 1766, Essex. The Son of Unknown Skingle and Unknown. Married Susannah Warman, born 1778. On the 11th Nov 1798 at St Michaels, Bishop Stortford.
The newspaper the Morning Chronicle Thursday Oct 30th 1834,reported. William Skingle occupation Farmer Residence; Thrift Farm, Farnham. While returning home from market on the Thursday 23rd Oct 1834 in the evening was stopped by two men and robbed of the sum of 25 shillings, he knew the men as Abraham Chappel and James Ginn. Abraham Chappel was quickly caught and was being held, while an intense search was in place for James Ginn. Ginn was used many times to drive the hay wagon of Mr Pomfret of Farnham, he is also well known at the market at Whitechapel. Williams Occ 1841; Farmer. Res; Thrift Farm, Farnham. They had three children. William died 2nd qtr 1844, Bishop Stortford. Susannah died 2nd qtr 1854, Bishop Stortford.
